Scottish Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT) is a charitable organisation founded in 1985 to preserve, for the benefit of Scotland, buildings of historical, architectural, constructional, national or local interest SHBT operates as a revolving fund building preservation trust (BPT) and considers projects throughout Scotland. As a revolving fund trust, any surplus generated by one project goes to help seed fund the next project. Generally projects are brought to us through our Trustees, the community, local planners or conservation officers or specialist interest groups who wish to save the building from dereliction or demolition.

SHBT is actively looking for projects to investigate, if you know of any listed buildings which need to be saved from dereliction, please give us a call. See the Contact Us page for details.
